Ah, hello there. It is so nice to be back. I missed all of this.
I will not bombard you with pictures. Instead, I want to offer you a blissful read. Go ahead, and grab a snack.
Our Silkroad History.
LSRO, formerly known as Lithuanian Silk Road Online is a historic private server that launched back in May 2010. I was just a kid that hosted an emulated server on my mom's PC. Later on, it grew into something huge and was the biggest local server and one of the biggest gaming projects in Lithuania, that lasted 4 years and was shut down in 2014.

The idea.
Look, all of those private servers are very nice and have those flashy threads just shoveling all of those features, modifications and addons they have in their game. I do not want any of that. I'm a grown ass man, that wants to finish his errands, sleep with my girl and check my bots while she's showering. I don't want to play a server that has 50 shades of event bots, where half of your gameplay is stupid trivias and guessing party numbers, that are not even remotely related to the game.
I want original Silkroad Online. Yes, that one. Empty, small HUD'ed, old, nostalgic. I want to go all the way from the start to finish. I want to see cap updates, euro inclusion, zone expansion and population increase. I want players to freak out in a good way when they see a GM pop out, I want global chat drama, guild wars and players to just hang out at DH South for no particular reason. I want towns full of stalls, I want goldbots running in tandem between NPCs, because that's the only way we had it in 2006.
And now, it will return, and let me explain everything before you throw your takes.
2030 Uptime Guarantee
This is an interesting one. Hosting Silkroad servers is quite expensive, because they are one of the few ones that run on windows. This is why a lot of servers die - they just run out of dosh. In my case, however, this is a non-issue, because I work with a bunch of tech and have loads of old hardware I happily use to host a server. My peers consider it useless, but Silkroad is built to run on that hardware and I have plenty. I can easily expand shards/agents and stack them like a lego.
Yes, you understood correctly, I am hosting my server from my house, which is wired to a router, providing high speed fiber optics connection. The only way for my server to die, is to pull the plug. The only things I am paying for right now are domain and DDoS protection, which I can easily afford, so my claim isn't a hot take - LSRO will be up at least until 2030, regardless of anything. We had 4 wonderful years together, let's go for another run!
The Start
So, I had to google this, but Silkroad had a pretty rough start. This is how they launched iSRO in 2005 and updated it up to 2008.
This is where I will switch things up a little bit. iSRO launched Taklamakan in parts, where LY was pretty early with top Taklamakan being empty.
LSRO starts at Cap 70 without Taklamakan, will later combine Oasis and Legend 1 updates and go Cap 80, and other updates will pretty much follow Original Silkroad's path. We have years of content to add and plan to reach that highest cap and gear degree.

Good luck, dead bot server
This is what I would also think reading up to this point. But bear with me, I got something interesting to show, but first, let's talk about the elephant in the room.
One of the reasons why I love Silkroad so much is botting. I love botting, I used pretty much every bot there was - phBot, SBOT, agBot, iSROBOT, SibiBOT, rBot, mBOT - you name it. Silkroad is all about botting, and there's a funny joke I always say - There are games that have bots, but silkroad is a bot that has a game. And I believe there is a lot of sense in that joke.
This is why I don't just allow botting, I endorse it. Go ahead and use any bot you want to achieve any goal you want. We have some nasty restrictions on jobbing, so you won't be able to benefit from our systems, but for regular grind - yes, please, you can happily have multiple bots. Because of this:
Bot Tax & Reward Stash
Before I get to this point, I want to say - I am very familiar with private silkroad server scene, and I will tell you one philosophy - private servers die twice. The second death is obviously when they shut down and are not playable anymore, but the first death is when the server becomes anthill - what we call a dead bot server. And I knew with my 2030 Uptime Guarantee, I just prevent the second death, but not the first one. So, how do I solve the first death?
Bot Tax
*curtain drops* Introducing Bot Tax. I didn't dig enough servers to see whether it was already somewhere, I think there was, but what is special about it is how it is executed. I know that up until the server can be played - there will be bots, and I made them so they nurture the world and most importantly players that aren't engaged in bot activities - real players, as you would say.
Bot Tax detects botting by how you play, not by what program you have open - playing manually with phBot running is fine. Once you are flagged (you get an in-game notice), half of the gold you earn goes to the Reward Stash and half of the gear you pick up is taken, until you relog. Both gear and gold don't just vanish, they have their separate travel pipes.
Reward Stash
*another curtain drops* Introducing Reward Stash.
This is basically a gold vault that drops goodies whenever it is filled. It rolls randomly between event unique spawn, special goods double silk reward, or additional silk for kills in CTF/BA.
Event Uniques spawn across the world, randomly. 20 level uniques spawn randomly in Jangan area, 40lv uniques in Donwhang and so on. You know where TG spawns, but you won't know where those are - it's exciting! They will also probably annihilate bots in that area. Good.
Perfect Stall System
I don't know other way to call this, it is indeed perfect. The gear that is deducted by bots is going to the stalls. Yes, I created my bots, that takes items from your bots and sells them back. With blues, pluses, or even SoX. It checks where you dropped it and picks that town.
Furthermore, I made it so there is a tiny chance any random gear my bots sell will turn into SoX or a random item mall item. Imagine catching and just buying premium from a stall. Sick. This makes every stall check like a little slot machine roll. All gold collected from stall bots goes to - you got it - Reward Stash.
Basically I made it so every town is always filled with stalls that aren't just generic items - they are real drops that are selling for real market price, in addition to small reward chance. Welcome back to 2006.

These stalls are only from a single bot party testing the system. Beautiful.
The LSRO feeling
Now most oldschool servers claim they are full retro, then you join a 60 cap server and there are party monsters. Lame. In LSRO, you will feel what the past was - we start with no Fortress Wars, no Forgotten World, no fancy launchers - why would we? Everything is like it was twenty years ago. But... For most of your brains, that might feel.. empty. And basically it is, so there are few things we did to fill up the gaps. Before I get to the point, let me explain what the problem is.
Currently, most servers have auto-events. It is a system that hits your dopamine. It is quite good, but dopamine has a nasty ability to wear out. What I call "LSRO feeling" is simply a system that hits dopamine and oxytocin, because it adds human connection. It's not just GM typing out commands. If you're curious, this is how it evolved:
Back in 2010, when LSRO ran on emulator, it lacked features and was emptier than you could imagine. All you could do is login and level up and kill monsters - that was basically it. There was no pvp. There was no alchemy. There were no pets, trading or transports. In that atmosphere, we had a GM team of 5 people that constantly thought of creative ways to manage events. We spawned monsters, made challenges and basically created a set of mini-games that GM's randomly ran. Later on, when SRX (the emulator we ran on) improved, added things like PvP, stalls and so on, we created more and more of those mini-games, which most of LSRO players still remember and praise the server for it.
Now, in 2026, I have a team of players that played LSRO 15 years ago. They perfectly know the feeling I'm talking about and they are so ready to bring it back, including me. You will see GM's doing crazy stuff, in a friggin' good way.
Additionally
I didn't strip out Capture the Flag and Battle Arena events. I know it's unfair in a 70 cap server, but they are fun and will fill the "empty" gap even more. Every single player kill you make in both of those events rewards with a Magic POP card. You pop for a POP, so to speak.
Magic POP
Yes, I kept it as well, because I fucking love gambling, sue me.
What I don't like, is gambling that involves real money, so you will see Magic POP cards stripped from the item mall. The only way to get them is to play the game with your fancy phBot disabled.
Silk and Pay2Win situation.
I want your money, give me all your money, zuehuehuehue.
This is how you perceive server owner anyways, but I am also a player, and let me tell you one thing - I wholeheartedly hate whales. I disrespect them and everyone should be like this. Silkroad is designed to be a money sucking machine that also has ability to breed whales. And since my crazy spending and PTSD from Diablo Immortal, I will not play or design any game that has whales, period. So here's how you get silk in LSRO.
Jobbing: Delivering Special Goods will award you silk. You can share silk with a hunter if needed. Robbing Special Goods as a thief will also give you silk.
CTF/BA: Already mentioned - the only gateway to Magic POP which can also yield item mall stuff.
Unique kills: Slayer of any uniques is awarded with silk. Unique level = silk reward. That's simple and pretty common, because it's fun.
Perfect Stall System: It's indeed perfect. Thank you for thinking that as well.
Reward Stash boosts: It's like a bot socialism, amirite?
So, how do I milk your money?
I was thinking about it since my yacht broke, lmao.
The way I made purchases is very modern and pretty hard gated. All you can purchase are one of two subscriptions - either gold or platinum. You already know perfectly how subscriptions work and can hate me for this, but this is what I find to be the morally good way to milk you. For gold subscription, you enable 1 silk per hour to your character, while it's online. For platinum sub, you enable the same, just for one party of 8 players.
There is nothing else to buy and this makes donations for each person capped. You can't just buy yourself a premium and full inventory of reverses - you have to play. And most importantly, by paying, you can't outplay real players. Sounds good? Now send me your money.
